Protein Latte Oatmeal

I'm finally moved into my new place and have settled in, so what better way than to share a new recipe?

During the transition period, my coffee mug on hand couldn't hold all the coffee I made in my french press so I decided to replace the water in my oatmeal with the extra coffee. I already add vanilla protein powder to my oatmeal, so it turned out to be like a vanilla latte.

I am a firm believer in the powers of coffee so if I can add even more into my life, I am a happy individual.

This also depends on what kind of protein powder you use. You could always sub in chocolate protein powder to make a mocha latte esque oatmeal. So feel free to make substitutions and comment how they turned out.

  1. In a bowl add the oats and coffee together and mix.
  2. Microwave for 2.5 - 3 minutes.
  3. Add the protein powder to the cooked oatmeal and mix until smooth.
