2-Ingredient Dulce de Leche Rice Krispie Treats

Sometimes you just have a craving for something sweet. Sometimes you just give in and don't even try to make a healthy version. I am all about a good cheat meal, and this definitely counts as one.

I made this for someone as a surprise, but I ended up eating some of it anyway. Oops.

This calls for TWO INGREDIENTS. That's it. It's that simple. If you can boil, measure, and mix, then you are golden.

2-Ingredient Dulce de Leche Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients
2 14 oz. cans of sweetened condensed milk
6 cups crispy rice cereal

Directions
  1. Remove labels from cans, and place the cans on their side in a large pot.
  2. Add enough water to cover the cans with an extra inch or two above the can.
  3. Bring water to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer and cover.
  4. Simmer for two to three hours depending on how dark you like your dulce de leche. I let mine go for two hours.
  5. Remove from heat and carefully remove the cans and allow to cool.
  6. Once the cans are slightly warm to the touch, open the cans and pour into a large mixing bowl.
  7. Add in the cereal about two cups at a time and stir until everything is nicely coated.
  8. In a greased 9x13 baking pan, pour the mixture and spread evenly.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours and then serve.
