Chocolate Red Wine Cake

Valentine's is fast approaching. It is a holiday that is dominated by chocolate. However, I do not like chocolate baked things. However, actual chocolate, I love.

One of my friend's birthday was recent and I made her this cake. She loved it. I thought I should post it since it is so simple to make and it would make a great dessert for Valentine's or anytime for chocolate lovers everywhere.

If you can mix things, you can make this.

Chocolate Red Wine Cake


Ingredients
1 Box of chocolate cake mix
Red wine, I use a nice dry red wine or Cabernet Sauvignon 
Butter or oil
Eggs
1 container of chocolate frosting

Directions
  1. Follow the directions on the box.
    • Sub the water with the wine
    • I also like to sub the oil with melted butter
  2. For the frosting, whip the frosting with 1-2 tbsp of wine based on preference
  3. Frost the cake, serve, eat.
I cannot post any true nutritional info because it all depends on which red wine you use, what mix and frosting you use, and if you use the oil or melted butter.
