Pumpkin Spice Kiss Cookies

It's been a pumpkin packed fall. It seems everyone and their mother is jumping on the pumpkin spice train. I found some pumpkin spice Hershey Kisses, and I knew I had to use them in a recipe.

I made these cookies the first time with not enough flour, and they were are splayed out. The second time I added enough and they came out magnificently. There is so much pumpkin spice going on you will not be able to even and your inner basic white girl will emerge. Do not be surprised if you start to nonstop talk about how much you love fall and sweater weather. You've been warned.

Pumpkin Spice Kiss Cookies

Ingredients
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter substitute, I use blue bonnet
1 tsp vanilla
1 large egg
2 tsp pumpkin spice

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 and prepare two baking sheets.
  2. Unwrap 36 Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, soda, and cream of tartar and whisk together.
  4. In another bowl, combine the butter and 1 cup sugar and beat until very well blended.
  5. Add in the vanilla and egg to the sugar and butter mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Slowly add in the flour mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  7. Chill for about 10-15 minutes.
  8. Make small balls of dough and place on baking sheet about 1-1 1/2 inches apart
  9. Bake for 7-8 minutes.
  10. Take the cookies out and place a kiss in the middle of each cookie.
  11. After about 2 minutes, place sheets in the fridge to cool further.
    • If you let them cool at room temperature, the kisses will melt completely.
