So eat I did. I made these bad boys because my waffle maker has been looking at me with sad eyes. It's been awhile since I used it and I thought it was high time.
She performed beautifully and these waffles gave me a very practical understanding of metabolism.
Also you may realize that this recipe is eerily similar to my pumpkin protein waffles. Well folks, guess what. This one is based off of that one. So if you do not own a waffle iron, make these as pancakes!
Cranberry Protein Waffles
Ingredients
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 egg
1 egg white
1/2 cup whole cranberries
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 packet of stevia or tsp of sweetener of choice
1 tsp baking powder
Directions
- In a medium bowl add all ingredients and whisk until smooth.
- In a preheated waffle iron, pour in half the batter.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes and then remove.
- These won't rise as much as normal waffles and you make enough batter to make two waffles.
- Nom.
