Hawaiian Pita Pizza

Bless the Italians for creating the most perfect union of cheese and carbs on the planet, pizza. Pizza is in the top few foods that automatically bring happiness to the consumer. Unfortunately, the big pizza chains have taken this dish and turned it into a gut busting moster. From thick crust, deep dish and an overload of toppings, most pizza might land you in the hospital.

The best way to have pizza is to make it yourself. Pitas are these magical pieces of middle eastern bread that can be utilized in many ways. Here, it acts as a crust. It allows for maximum customization and an assurance that you know what your pizza is actually made up of.

My favorite type of pizza is the Hawaiian which was, supposedly, first made in Greece.

Also I used a toaster oven but you can also use an oven.
